Greek Culture Minister Pavlos Geroulanos resigned on Friday after robbers stole more than 60 invaluable antique objects from a museum in Olympia.

Armed robbers made way with valuable antique objects without a challenge as the only one guard available at the world renowned museum was a woman who was conveniently bundled up by force as soon as she arrived in the morning.

Some of the relics that were stolen from the museum include sculpted ornaments from the temple of Zeus which date back beyond 300 B.C. and a statue depicting a winged woman believed to be a sign of triumph over the Spartans (the war is believed to have taken place 421 B.C.)

The museum also houses a statuette of Zeus carrying Ganymede the divine hero from Troy. Ganymede's is considered the most beautiful of all mortals.
