It's the beginning of the year, which means there's a whole summer of festivals to look forward to. Confirmed to headline Coachella 2016 are Guns N' Roses, LCD Soundsystem and DJ Calvin Harris, while other performers include Ice Cube, Ellie Goulding and Sia.

Davie Bowie releases new album

So what's coming up this week? The legend that is David Bowie will be returning with his 25th album, Blackstar, set for release on Friday 8 January. Although, fans of the rocker should be warned: The record has been billed as Bowie's "oddest" work yet.

Kanye West shows off new song

And lastly, we're only a few days into the new year but Kanye West has already treated us to new music. The rapper's new song, Facts, which was released on Soundcloud, name-drops Drake and Adidas, and precedes his long-awaited album Swish.
