Movies since the very beginning have entertained us, captivated our minds and giving us a great option during holidays. It does not matter if we are watching them in a theatre with family or friends or in the comfort of our homes. Every year a host of movies from across genres are made and this year is no different.

So far moviegoers have witnessed some great movies like Deadpool, Captain America: Civil War and X-Men: Apocalypse among others. In the following months more movies are set to be released that will keep the audience entertained further.

Let's check out 10 must-watch movies that will be released in the next few months of 2016.

1. Suicide Squad

The movie, based on a long-running DC Comics series, will see a team of anti-heroes gamble with their lives by taking on a dangerous mission, which if successful will set them free from prison.

The cast of the movie includes Jared Leto as The Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Delevingne as Enchantress among others.

The movie opens in the US on 5 August.

2. Doctor Strange

Benedict Cumberbatch's character Stephen Strange, a former neurosurgeon, meets with an accident and damages his hands. However, Strange meets a hermit called the Ancient One, who bestows him with magical powers.

The cast of the movie includes Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One and Chiwetel Ejiofor, who plays the antagonist Baron Mordo.

The movie is set for a 4 November release in the US.

3. Jason Bourne

Matt Damon once again reprises his role of a former spy, who in this instalment of the franchise regains his memory with the help of events that unfold in the previous chapter. In the first trailer of the movie the former spy says: "I know who I am... I remember. I remember everything."

The cast of the movie includes Matt Damon as Jason Bourne, Julia Stiles as Nicky, Tommy Lee Jones as Robert Dewey among others.

The movie will hit theatres on 29 July in the US.

4. The Legend of Tarzan

Alexander Skarsgård's Tarzan returns to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary after leaving Africa many years ago. However, his return will see him get caught in a deadly plot conspired by Captain Rom, played by Christoph Waltz.

The cast of the movie includes Margot Robbie as Jane Porter, Alexander Skarsgård as Tarzan, Samuel L Jackson as George Washington Williams among others.

The movie premieres in the US on 1 July.

5. The BFG

A girl named Sophie, played by Ruby Barnhill, encounters the big friendly giant (The BGF), who despite his appearance is harmless. The other giants in the film, who are man-eaters, will be on a hunt for Sophie after they come to know of her presence in the land of giants.

The cast of the movie includes Ruby Barnhill as Sophie, Mark Rylance as The BFG, Bill Hader as Bloodbottler among others.

The film opens in the UK on 22 July and in the US on 1 July.

6. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

In 1926, Eddie Redmayne's character Newt Scamander arrives in New York, where he comes across witches and wizards after completing his global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures.

The film also stars Katherine Waterston, Colin Farrell, and Samantha Morton.

The film is set to be released in the US on 18 November.
