Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with the new British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond on Thursday (July 24) in Jerusalem, as a Gaza truce remained elusive despite intensive mediation efforts and continued fighting pushed the Palestinian death toll over 700.
In a joint news conference with Hammond, Netanyahu denounced a UN Human Rights Council decision to probe into alleged Israeli crimes in Gaza.
