Interstellar
Interstellar is the next film from acclaimed British director Christopher Nolan, responsible for the recent Batman trilogy and Inception

Warner Brothers has released the first full-length trailer for Interstellar, the forthcoming film by Batman Begins and Inception director Christopher Nolan.

The film stars Matthew McConaughey and regular Nolan collaborator Michael Caine (The Prestige, The Dark Knight Rises).

The film takes place on a near-future version of Earth, where global famine is threatening the future of mankind. McConaughey's character Cooper is chosen to rescue humanity by flying a spaceship through a wormhole to establish a new human colony on a distant planet.

The film is as heavy on excellent digital effects as Nolan's Inception, and continues the British director's quest to answer the various "what if?" questions that appear to keep him awake at night.

The film, like much of Nolan's best work, is co-written with his brother Jonathan, who has recently been enjoying success on US TV with the dystopian series Person of Interest, which has just been renewed for a fourth season.

Interstellar is scheduled for release in November, and is likely to be the Thanksgiving blockbuster of the year.
