Shahrukh Khan is a happy man. Looks like 2014 is turning out to be another super successful year for the Bollywood superstar. First his team KKR emerges as the winner of IPL 2014, and now reportedly, his next film Happy New Year is all set to enjoy an uninterrupted glorious run at the box-office.

The film, which stars SRK and Deepika Padukone in lead roles, is slated for a Diwali (October) 2014 release. And as no other filmmaker wants to compete with the Chennai Express star's next movie, it will be the only film hitting the theatres that week, reports Deccan Chronicle.

"Diwali is on Thursday, 23 October. But it's yet to be seen whether Happy New Year releases on the day of Diwali itself or the next day, which is a Friday. But fact remains that it is going to be a solo release," says a source.

No other film is slated to arrive for an entire fortnight after that. The next biggies Action Jackson and Ungli are slated for 7 November release.

"For Shah Rukh, it is going to be an uninterrupted run since the only three big movies of October, Hrithik Roshan's Bang Bang, Shahid Kapoor's Haider and Priyanka Chopra's Mary Kom are all arriving on 2 October and Ayushmann Khurranna's Hawaizaada follows a week later," the source adds.

According to another prominent insider, "SRK and Deepika Padukone will be seen together again after their mega blockbuster Chennai Express. This film is being designed as an event release and with a setting as huge as this, it is only beneficial for other films to stay away."

The report also reveals that the film is slated to have the highest print count ever for an Indian film. This means there will hardly be any multiplex or reputed single-screen theatre left in the country that will have space for another film.

Happy New Year is directed by Farah Khan and apart from SRK and Padukone, the film also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani and Sonu Sood in key roles.
