Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey have separated, but the If I Was Your Man singer reportedly continues to support his former wife following her split from fiancé James Packer.

According to HollywoodLife, the 36-year-old singer has been making sure the songstress gets the special treatment to help her cope with her breakup from the Australian business tycoon.

Speaking on the pink carpet for the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show after-party at the Grand Palais hotel in Paris on 30 November, Cannon told the gossip site he has been giving the 46-year-old songstress "whatever she needs".

"That's my family for life," Cannon said and added they have a strong bond because of their "maturity and understanding that we'll always love each other."

Meanwhile, Carey confirmed her romance with Bryan Tanaka as she was pictured kissing and packing on the PDA with her back-up dancer in Hawaii on 28 November.

"They were all over each other, making out and not wanting to be more than a few feet apart," an eyewitness previously told Us Weekly.

"They swam in the ocean and he picked her up to kiss her. She was jumping into his arms, and he bent her back over his knee like they were dancing. Then they walked on the beach holding hands, and he gave her a piggyback ride. They had a lot of fun together and were very playful. She was kicking up the water to splash him, and he was laughing," the source said.
