Beyonce pulled a masterstroke as she kicked off the European leg of her On The Run Tour, with Nicki Minaj joining her on stage.

The two singers left the audience stunned as they joined forces for a show-stopping rendition of Flawless.

Beyonce and Minaj were expected to appear together at the MTV VMA's, but the Single Ladies star saved the best for the opening night of her Paris gigs.

The three-hour, 40-song, musical extravaganza was sold out in the French capital with all 77,000 tickets for Saturday's show snatched up by fans within minutes of going on sale.

Meanwhile, Beyonce and husband Jay-Z were doing their best to dispel rumours of their alleged marriage woes, spending the past week on a luxury yachting holiday in the South of France.

Sources say rapper Jay, 44, is planning to spend this weekend in the City of Love winning over his wife once more after a turbulent few months which left their future together in doubt.

A source said: "It's been a really rocky summer for Jay and Bey and they want to put to bed all the rumours that they're heading for a break. That's why Jay is going all out to treat Bey in Paris. They have some great memories of the city from their early days together and he wants to remind her of that.

"He's planning a super-fancy late dinner after the final show and is thinking about L'Avenue, one of their favourite places they always love to visit in Paris. Then he's arranged a massive after-party with lots of friends from London coming over.

"Now that the work part of their relationship is finished, they want to connect again as husband and wife – without all the outside stress that has plagued them this year."

Following months of speculation, the singer is now rumoured to be expecting her second child with the rapper.

Beyonce, 32, is believed to be three months pregnant and is hoping the baby will fix her troubled marriage with Jay Z.

The pregnancy news comes just after the couple recently gave a very public show of affection at the VMAs, with their daughter Blue Ivy in tow.
