Vin Diesel's friendship with the late Paul Walker is perhaps one of the best examples of true friendship in Hollywood. The American actor surely knows how to leave a lasting impression on people close to him. And, the latest entrant to the list of Diesel's admirers is his xXx: Return of The Xander Cage co-star Nina Dobrev.

The former Vampire Diaries actress posted a heartfelt birthday message for Diesel, who turned 49 on Monday (18 July), on her social media account.

"Happy Birthday Vin. From the first moment I met you, you have been nothing but sweet, kind, caring, wise, honest, positive and engaging," the 27-year-old Bulgarian-Canadian actress wrote on Facebook.

She further added that the Fast and the Furious actor and producer was like a 'brother' to her who always supported her.

"You've been like a brother to me, encouraging and supporting me in ways I could have never imagined, and for that I am eternally grateful. You have a heart of gold and the strength of a warrior. Your ability to touch souls and bring smiles to millions continues to inspire me. Today we all smile and celebrate you. Happy Birthday, Vin. Thanks to you I will always look for the "magic" in Every. Single. Moment."

Both actors will share screen space in the upcoming sequel of the action franchise of xXx. On Sunday, the 49-year-old actor has teased the upcoming trailer of Xander Cage as 'awesome'. He will reprise his titular role of extreme athlete-turned-superspy while Dobrev will play the character of the witty and sarcastic techie, Rebecca "Becky" Clearidge.

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has previously shared a short teaser where her character was telling Xander: "Whatever it is you're looking for, you're gonna come up short." The Indian actress will play Serena Unger, Cage's former love interest and a huntress.

A teaser is expected soon for xXx Return Of The Xander Cage which is scheduled to premiere on 20 January 2017.
