Going travelling, changing your number and setting up a mass unfollow on social media are just a few ways to move on from an ex. But if your name is Kylie Jenner and you happen to have a tattoo in honour of former beau Tyga, getting rid of it may be on the top of your to-do list.

The 19-year-old reality star, who is now dating rapper Travis Scott, has removed her one-time romantic gesture to the rapper following their split in March.

Rather than endure painful laser removal sessions, Kim Kardashian's younger sister has chosen to give her ink a makeover. While out and about in London on 3 July she unveiled her new 'la' ankle tattoo, which used to be a lowercase 't'.

Back in 2015 Tyga, real name Micheal Ray Stevenson, had 'Kylie' tattooed in cursive on the inside of his right arm. It is not known whether he will follow suit and get his tribute removed or covered up.

Despite her efforts to finally sever ties with her former flame, the reality of the failed romance didn't stop the Lip Kit mogul from getting already a matching butterfly tattoo with Scott on her ankle. The couple showed off their new ink on 12 June.

Although they are getting on like a house on fire, regularly indulging in PDA at basketball matches and on the street in recent months, insiders say Jenner has her reservations. "They had a long talk about cheating when they first starting seriously dating and both agreed that it's a total deal-breaker, and that a relationship has to be based on complete trust," a source told Hollywood Life.

Despite her trust issues, Jenner played the role of supportive girlfriend when she joined Scott for the Uk leg of his 36-date Damn Tour. The Go Off hitmaker played London's O2 Academy Brixton on 3 July.
