Nokia 6 receives Android 7.1.1 Nougat
Android 7.1.1 Nougat update is rolling out for Nokia 6 Nokia

It appears that Nokia 6 is getting Android 7.1.1 Nougat update. The handset was launched in January this year exclusively through JD.com in China and the following month at the Mobile World Congress event HMD Global announced the global launch of the handset, with release in the second quarter.

Android Soul, which reported about the rollout first, has posted a screenshot of the release note obtained from a tweet post. According to that, the latest Nougat software update comes with build version 00CN_3_170 and weighs in at 369MB.

Along with Android Nougat version 7.1.1, the update improves power saving and background management of the smartphone. It also supports 4G or 3G dual SIM dual standby and brings updated Nokia driver and updated version of preloaded application. Besides, it adds Google's Android security patch for the month of April.

To grab the update manually on your phone, head over to Settings>> About>> System Update>> Update.

For users across the globe, HMD has announced Nokia 6 would be available in four colour options: matte black, silver, tempered blue and copper at a suggested retail price of €229.

As for the UK consumers, high-street retailer Carphone Warehouse said the Nokia 6 would be available exclusively in its stores. The retailer will also stock Nokia handsets such as Nokia 3310, Nokia 3 and 5 when they become available in the country.
