Largely famous for her 'Nothing Compares To You' hit back in 1990, Sinead O'Connor was every bit the voice people remembered, as she recently took to the Manchester International Festival theatre projecting that vulnerable, soft and almost eerie sound.
Yet sadly, she made countless headlines for her, okay rather obvious changed appearance- I mean it's only been 20 years, heaven forbid the natural cycle of time having a visible effect on someone.
The now 44-year-old mother of four was more famously remembered for her then shaven head and jaunting cheekbones, back when she was 23, yep that's right 23. I can't help but think if she still looked like that, she would have still made headlines for her appearance, this time people questioning her lack of aging and putting down to some mysterious scientific experiment.
The lack of focus on her performance, music and voice for which she had and is now again trying to make a career out of is bewildering to say the least. Had she been famous solely for her looks say like model Christy Turlington at that time, then this change of appearance would be an understandable topic to discuss, but alas she wasn't.
Those few that did concentrate on her singing, swore only positive things making Home-her fourth coming album release something to be highly anticipated.
