To celebrate the London 2012 Olympics, Mini has today announced three special edition models, featuring a union flag-themed exterior, white roofs and Olympic graphics inside and out.

Honouring its partnership with Team GB and Paralympics GB, Mini will be producing 2012 special editions in Cooper, Cooper D, Cooper S and Cooper SD hatchback guises.

Olympic Minis
London 2012 Minis feature Olympic roof design and 'sports stripe'

The special editions will be available in Chilli Red, White Silver or Lightening Blue, with the Olympic graphic on their white roofs and a sports stripe, which runs along the length of the car, as well as white wing mirror caps.

An Olympic graphic on the side sills and unique 17-inch conical spoke alloy wheels complete the exterior.

Inside, the London 2012 specials feature what Mini describes as "the London skyline, beautifully etched across the width of the piano-black dashboard. Silhouetting some of London's most iconic landmarks, including Tower Bridge, Battersea Power Station and the London Eye, the dashboard also displays the worlds 'London 1 of 2012'."

Along with the standard fitment of DAB radio, air-conditioning, cruise control and chrome interior touches, the 2012 Minis also get black 'Lounge Leather' seats featuring red and blue stitching and white piping. The handbrake, gear lever and floor mat are also colour coded on these Olympic editions.

Prices for the Mini London 2012 special edition from £17,800 for the Cooper, climbing to £20,860 for the Cooper SD model.
