OnePlus 2: Here are solutions to all your invite, hardware and software related issues

If you have already purchased a OnePlus 2 and are not familiar with the functionalities or are planning to buy one but are not aware of how to go ahead with the invites, don't fret. The following is a detailed list with answers to all invite, hardware and software related issues.

If you cannot get an invite or the region switches itself

• Ensure that you are in the correct region and check that your OnePlus account is for the same region
• If the website switches countries again, try to clear cache and cookies
• If you still face the issue, use another browser
• In case the problem still persists, clear the caches and cookies in the new browser
• Alternatively, try a mobile device
• Try to add baskets on other regions and switch to your region

If you have received a wrong region invite

• Again verify that you and your OnePlus account is in the correct region
• Otherwise contact OnePlus support to get the correct invite

If you are getting pushed on the reservation list

When someone reserves his/her invite using your link, your serial number will be bumped up. But when others do it using bots/temp email, they will come in front of you.

When will I receive an invite

This depends on a number of factors such as availability, tier, rank, when you have joined, if you have bought an OnePlus One etc.

How to check ranking

• Navigate to OnePlus invite page
• Type in your email (and captcha)
• Your rank will show up

If you've got an invite saying you are invited, but seller is not OnePlus

Note that this is a fake invite, not one sent by OnePlus
Alternatively, check for the following:

• The seller is not OnePlus
• The email is not from invites@oneplus.net
• The links do not take to OnePlus.net
• The addresses are different
• Bad spelling e.g. 'One plus' rather than 'OnePlus'

Software and hardware related issues

Home button unresponsive at times

• This could be due to a grounding issue on the OPO, which is expected to be fixed in a future OTA
• Check if turning off the gesture helps
• Try to use one hand and check if it is better
• Don't touch the metal frame

Overheating issues

• Check if you have installed all the latest update (OxygenOS 2.0.2) and then check if your phone is still hot.
• When you use the new phone for the first few days, it may feel slightly warmer than usual. Also, when charging, the phone becomes slightly warmer.

How long does the battery last?

• For some the battery stays for four to six hours of Screen On Time, whereas for others it runs for almost nine hours.
• For better usage, turn off the phone and then turn it back on
• Also, try to discharge completely and then charge it again

How long does the battery take to get charged?

If you are using a 5V 2A power adaptor, the device will take about two hours and 11 minutes to get charged.

If you are facing Gmail or Google sync issues

• Check your sync settings first
• Then try to log out (by going to Settings>> Accounts) and log in again
• Try pulling down the sync and check if the problem is solved
• If the above fix does not work, perform a factory reset

Does rooting or unlocking bootloader void warranty?

No, it does not. But proceed with the process only if you are confident about it.

Will I get OTA after rooting?

If you have rooted your phone, you will not get stock update via OTA

Will I get a pre-applied screen protector?

You get a screen protector pre-applied at the factory to save the screen, but it's not premium or tempered glass.
