Oscar-winning Aardman animations have finished filming in Wales on the largest set for a stop motion animation.

Gulp is a story of hunter out at sea who ends up being eaten by a whale.

The short film, lasting less than two minutes, was filmed on over 11,000 square feet of Welsh sand at Pendene Beach.

Stop motion animation is a technique used to turn still images into a moving sequence by photographing individual frames and then playing them as a continuous sequence.

The film was shot entirely on Nokia N8 Smartphones by directors Sumo Science, part of Aardman Animations, who are behind Wallace and Gromit.

Previously, the group shot the world's smallest stop motion animation using a Nokia fitted with a microscope.
