Oxford University student Emma Watson ditched her books and stepped into the spotlight on Sunday night for the promotion of "My Week With Marilyn" in London.

The 21-year-old actor dazzled at the red carpet with her chic style despite the absence of the leading lady, Michelle Williams, who plays the protagonist Marilyn Monroe, during the UK promotion of the British movie in Haymarket, central London.

"My Week With Marilyn" is Watson's first major role after the celebrated Harry Potter's film franchise.

In the upcoming film, Watson will portray the character of Lucy, a wardrobe mistress, opposite Colin Clark, played by Eddie Redmayne.

The film also starring Kenneth Branagh, Judi Dench, Dominic Cooper, Dougray Scott and Julia Ormond will release on Nov. 25.
