Overview

The battle between the two unbeaten sides in the Pakistan Premier League (PSL) between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi promises to provide all out action. The Gladiators, led by Sarfaraz Nawaz, have surprised quite a few teams with their performance on the field, despite not possessing a squad with as many big names as Islamabad or Peshawar, they have gone about their business with chilling efficiency.

Luke Wright and Ahmed Shehzad have given them great starts, while Anwar Ali ably supported by spinners helped dry out runs in the middle overs. If there is one disappointment, then it has to be marquee buy Kevin Pietersen, who has failed with the bat. Buoyed by a new IPL contract expect KP to come out all guns ablaze in the upcoming encounter.

Peshawar Zalmi come into this game on the back of some splendid performances and they arguably have the league's best bowling attack. Left-arm spinner Mohammad Asghar has impressed while the pace trio of Junaid Khan, Wahab Riaz and Shaun Tait can walk into any T20 team in the world on merit.

Skipper Afridi has not had too much to do and would be itching to get into action. The batting department too looks in form, with Tamim Iqbal and Mohammad Hafeez finding form, however, should these two get out early the middle order could come under serious pressure.
