Pakistan face West Indies in the first day/night Test match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday (13 October).

Where to watch

Match starts at 12.30pm BST. There is no live coverage of the game in the UK.

Overview

The second day/night Test match is upon us with Pakistan (who are using the United Arab Emirates as home) hosting West Indies for the first pink ball game between both the teams.

Pakistan, who were recently dislodged from the No 1 spot in the ICC Test rankings by arch-rivals India, come into this series on the back of an impressive 2-2 draw in the four-match Test series against England.

The Men in Green have arguably one of the best squads in the world with their batting and bowling complementing each other. Led by Misbah-ul-Haq, the hosts go into the series as favourites and will want to inflict a clean sweep on the visitors and reclaim their top Test spot.

Pakistan will be without influential batsman Younis Khan who is recovering from dengue and have called up Babar Azam and Mohammad Nawaz in place of the misfiring Mohammad Hafeez and Shan Masood.

West Indies come into the series on the back of a 2-0 drubbing by India at home and find themselves ninth in the ICC Test rankings just above Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

Senior batsmen Darren Bravo and Marlon Samuels will be key and with the pink ball set to challenge the batsmen, they will need to step up.
