Fast and Furious star Paul Walker's death triggered a huge outpouring of grief across Hollywood and beyond. It has been reported that Eric Heisserer, director of his movie Hours, has even dedicated a photo essay in the dead star's honour.

"Last year I had the privilege of directing Paul in a little, low-budget movie called Hours," Heisserer shared on imgur.

"I remember going in to the initial meeting with Paul thinking, 'There's no way he's the guy,' and yet he totally won me over," Heisserer stated.

"Hell, most actors would throw a tantrum. But never Paul. He worked hard, showed up on time (this is a huge deal if you've ever worked with talent), and learned the names of my crew. He never complained," he added.

"You may want to hate the guy for being too handsome, or for starring in this or that movie, but after five minutes you realise he's a real sweetheart," the director continued.

"Between takes on set, we began sharing silly animal pictures in an attempt to crack each other up. Since his death, I've just been a spaghetti bowl of emotions. This movie wasn't to be his swan song, it was his springboard to better things," he stated.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that the next instalment of the Fast and Furious franchise will be a tribute to Walker.

"What will drive everything is, is there an honourable and sensible way to do this? Sadly, it will probably make people more interested," an unnamed source from film producers Universal stated.

The writers are also apparently looking for a way out for character Brian O'Conner in the $150m film. The production has been postponed to January 2014 and Chris morgan, the screenwriter, is working on a new script around the scenes Walker had filmed.

According to recent reports, Walker's younger brother, 25-year-old Cody Walker, who looks almost like Paul, is expected to fill in for the late actor in the movie. Cody has previously worked as a movie stuntman.

The makers of the runaway hit franchise, who held a series of meetings after Paul's death, reportedly realised that they needed someone who looked like Paul to finish the movie and they approached his nearly identical brother, Cody, a source close to the production stated.

"If Cody agrees it's because he wants to honour his brother's memory. There are many details that still need to be worked out, but right now the family and cast and crew are all still grieving," the source added.

"They can shoot Cody from behind and at distance. If it's a shot they need Paul's face in close up, they can CGI it later on," a source close to the family is quoted as saying.
