Pepe Reina
Pepe Reina says he would love to return to Barcelona.

Pepe Reina has admitted he would relish the chance to move to Barcelona as the Liverpool keeper considers his future.

The Spaniard made a shock move to Napoli on loan in the summer after the Reds signed Simon Mignolet from Sunderland.

Reina has since complained that he had hoped to stay on Merseyside this season and prove his worth but Brendan Rodgers admitted that he had to let the keeper go for financial reasons.

The shot stopper has always been honest about not being able to say no to a permanent move to former club Barcelona and the 31 year old has once again reiterated that he could leave Liverpool, amid renewed reports of a move to the Catalan giants.

"It would be great to return to Barcelona. I am very happy that my name's being mentioned," he told Catalunya radio, via Goal.com.

"Nothing has been signed, though. I assume that they have been talking with a lot of goalkeepers and have shortlisted a number of them. We will see what happens next year."

Barcelona are preparing for the loss of Victor Valdes next summer with the Spain 'keeper claiming he wants a new challenge after spending nearly 20 years at the club.

With that in mind the Catalan giants are in the market for a new shot stopper and with Reina already having played for them before moving to Villarreal, he could be seen as the right option.

And it would appear that the Reds are happy with their acquisition of Mignolet, who has so far kept three clean sheets in six Premier League appearances and saved a penalty on his debut to get the fans on side straight away.
