Andrew and Peter Andre
Andrew's health took a turn for the worse earlier this month.

Peter Andre is mourning the death of his eldest brother Andrew, who has lost his battle with cancer.

The Mysterious Girl singer is said to be "devastated" after Andrew, 54, passed away in the early hours of Sunday.

Andrew was diagnosed with kidney cancer in February and within weeks Andre flew his cancer-stricken sibling to the UK from Australia, so he could be at his side as he received specialist treatment for the disease.

The 39-year-old reality star even expanded his Surrey home so Andrew and his wife Magda could have their own space while he underwent chemotherapy at the Royal Marsden Hospital in southwest London.

A family spokesperson told the Daily Mirror: "Peter is devastated. He was very, very, very close to his brother. This is the first family member Peter has experienced losing."

In the weeks leading up to Andrew's death, the reality star postponed his tour to spend more time with his family.

"It is with great regret that Peter Andre has postponed his remaining December 2012 tour dates, starting from Liverpool tomorrow, Sat Dec 8th," a statement from his management read.

"His brother Andrew's health has taken a turn for the worse and Peter has made the decision to be with him and his family at this time."

Fans and celebrities alike have since paid tribute to Andrew and offered their condolences to the grieving family.

Andre's Ex-Wife Kate Price tweeted: "My thoughts are with the Andre family at this difficult time xx".

Elen Rivas wrote: "Soo sorry to hear that Andrew, @MrPeterAndre brother has passed away. Hope he is in a better place, such a great loss to the Andre Fam RIP x'. (sic).
