Philadelphia Community College is in lockdown after reports of a gunman on campus, police said. Students and faculty at the college have been told to find shelter as Philadelphia police hunt for the man. Authorities said that a male was threatened by another male with a gun in the building. There are no reports of shots fired at this point.

The armed man is said to be about 5ft 4 in tall, wearing a blue vest, red hoodie and grey sweat trousers, according to ABC News.

The threat comes after an anonymous message on 4chan site threatened an attack against a university near Philadelphia.

"On October 5, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. CT, a fellow robot will take up arms against a university near Philadelphia. His cries will be heard, his victims will cower in fear, and the strength of the Union will decay a little more," the message read.

Last week, 26-year-old Chris Harper-Mercer went on a shooting rampage at Umpqua Community College in Oregon killing nine people and wounding another nine before he was killed.
