The Metropolitan Police have said that its on-going investigation, into allegations, against, disgraced Savile, would now include hospitals such as The Stoke Mandeville hospital and Leeds General Infirmary.
Where, he had volunteered, from the 1960’s, up till his death in 2011.
Nurses at the Buckinghamshire hospital are reported to have been aware about the sexual abuse allegations aimed at Savile. Prompting Stoke Mandeville Hospital to say it is "shocked" at allegations that nurses advised patients to pretend to be asleep so TV presenter Jimmy Savile would not abuse them when he visited wards.
While over at Leeds general Infirmary former nurse speaking on SKY TV claimed she saw Savile molesting a brain-damaged girl at Leeds General Infirmary while she was recovering from an operation but felt powerless to help. A spokesman from Leeds general infirmary Andrew Bannister, in response to the allegations and other developments said in a statement: "Two individuals have contacted the hospital to share their concerns about things that happened with Jimmy Savile in the 70s but these contacts have only come to light in the last few days since the upsurge of publicity.
Police investigating the claims of abuse against Savile are now pursuing 120 separate lines of inquiry, which now appear to be on a national scale.
