Pretty Little Liars season 7
Pretty Little Liars season 6 finale introduced Jessica DiLaurentis' identical twin Mary Drake Freeform

Marlene King had previously warned fans that season 7 of Pretty Little Liars will deliver shocking twists in almost every episode. Now, after revealing the top plots for the upcoming season in a min-video, the show creator disclosed the first scene of episode 1.

"Episode 701 of #PrettyLittleLiars FADE IN: The quiet calm of a moonlit night, in the forest outside of Rosewood," she wrote in one of her tweets.

This has sparked speculation about the safety of Hanna, who was kidnapped by a hooded person in the PLL season 6 finale, with many speculating that the mysterious person was Jessica DiLaurentis' identical twin Mary Drake. However, the show creator added that plans were in place for the upcoming season and the twists would "blow fans minds".

King has also announced that work has started on the script for season 7. "When I write my first script of the season I'm constantly writing actors real names instead of their characters," she wrote.

In the season 6 finale, Hanna took blame for the death of Charlotte and despite of the efforts put in by Caleb, Spencer, Aria, Ezra and Toby, she gets kidnapped.

"You know, it's not out of the question," Ashley Benson told ET teasing her character Hanna's fate. "Marlene has hinted to that too, just to get the fans curious. I mean, it really could be Hanna, you never know. You may not see me next season, guys."

The final scene revealed a person wearing knee high boots dragging an unconscious Hanna in the basement of the church where Alison's sister Charlotte was killed.

Freeform is expected to announce the premiere date for PLL season 7 soon.
