Overview

Women's final

World No 3 Raneem El Welily produced one of the upsets of the tournament to beat Malaysia's squash queen Nicol David to progress to the finals of the PSA World Series. The Egyptian who was the underdog eventually won 5-11, 11-8, 8-11 dashing the Penangite's hopes of clinching a third successive title. El Welily will face England's Laura Massaro who was the runner-up in 2012/13.

Men's final

World No 13 Cameron Pillay became the lowest-ranked player in the men's draw to reach the final after running through World No 1 Mohamed Elshorbagy eventually winning 11-9, 11-5. Another win and Pillay will become the first Australian since Anthony Ricketts in almost a decade to win the final.

His opponent France's Gregory Gaultier comes into the clash as the favourite after he thrashed Miguel Angel Rodriguez in two sets. Gaultier who was playing in night conditions for the first time in the competition in the semi-final had to adjust to the conditions but once he adjusted there was no stopping him.
