Real Madrid star Angel Di Maria is reportedly set to snub Manchester United to join French big spenders Paris Saint Germain.
After signing midfielder Ander Herrera and left-back Luke Shaw, Louis van Gaal had reportedly earmarked the signing of a winger to fit in his 4-3-3 formation as his top summer target – as well as bolstering the midfield with Arturo Vidal and the defence with Mats Hummels.
Wingers Marco Reus and Arjen Robben have both been tipped for a move to Old Trafford but, according to the reports, Di Maria is now Van gaal's main target.
And even though Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti considers him as key player, the Argentinian international is unlikely to stay at the club – as he considers both the president and fans don't value him enough.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid are also likely to cash-in with him to fund the purchase of James Rodriguez as they already did last summer, using with Mesut Ozil's sale to sign Gareth Bale.
The Premier League giants were said to be planning a record £47m bid to secure Rodriguez's services but reports in Spain claim that PSG are finally going to win the race to secure his services.
Both AS and Marca suggest that Rodriguez has already agreed a £6.5m-a-year contract with the Ligue 1 giants – rejecting United as he wants to play Champions League football.
Meanwhile, PSG are set to match Real Madrid £47m demands to secure his services with negotiations suffering a recent delay due to the UEFA's Financial Fair, according to French newspaper L'equipe.
The French big spender has already invested around £40m in signing David Luiz from Chelsea and now need to cash-in with some players before closing Di Maria deal.
According to French newspaper L'Equipe, PSG are even ready to part ways with stars like Edinson Cavani, Lucas Moura, Marco Verratti or Javier Pastore to fund Di Maria move.
