Priyanka Chopra in Quantico
The upcoming ABC thriller will have Indian movie star Priyanka Chopra as the lead. ABC

Priyanka Chopra may have struggled with her American accent for ABC's upcoming thriller series Quontico, but the first eight minutes of the terrorist drama prove that she nailed it. The Indian movie star looks perfect as Alex Parrish, an FBI recruit who was framed along with other trainees for the largest terrorist attack on New York City since 9/11.

The first few moments of the show reveal much about Alex, who was supposed to board the train as told by her mother, but instead catches a flight in order to join the US intelligence force in Virginia. Things turn awkward when she discovers that the stranger with whom she had sex (after meeting him on the plane on her way to the training base) is her fellow FBI rookie.

The series will focus on how Parrish and her fellow trainees try to prove that they are not guilty of the deadly attack that has rocked the US all over again. They will evade arrest by the FBI which suspects that one among the rookies is the mastermind behind the deadly attack. The series will keep switching the plot from present day scenario to flashbacks as each of the rookies including Alex will have their own dark secrets connected with their past life.

The synopsis of the ABC thriller reads as follows: "A diverse group of recruits has arrived at the FBI Quantico Base for training. They are the best, the brightest and the most vetted, so it seems impossible that one of them is suspected of masterminding the biggest attack on New York City since 9/11."

Quantico will premiere on 27 September right after Marvel's Agents Of Shield on ABC network. Following Chopra's immense popularity in India, the highly anticipated series will also air in India on Star World and its HD counterpart, almost immediately after its US telecast.
