Arsenal travel to Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday and will look to strengthen their chances for a top-four finish.

Where to watch live

Kick-off is set for 7.45pm GMT. Highlights of the game will be available on BBC Match of the Day from 10.45pm GMT on BBC One.

Overview

Queens Park Rangers face their London rivals in what seems to be a major game in the context of both ends of the table. While the London club are separated from a relegation spot by goal difference, the Gunners need four points to leapfrog Manchester City to second, who have stumbled massively in the race for the title. New manager Chris Ramsey has a huge job at hand and a failure to take any points from their fixtures this week, will put a major dent in their chances of staying in the league.

The reverse fixture between the two sides was an extremely close affair, conspired by the sending off of Olivier Giroud, who took evasive action early into the second half and was handed a three game ban.

The Rangers, under former manager Harry Redknapp, failed to make full use of the man advantage and were undone by a winner from Tomas Rosicky.

Meanwhile, Arsenal will be desperate not to drop points against QPR, especially with games coming thick and fast. Their 3-1 loss to Monaco in the Champions League is still fresh in their minds and is unlikely to be alleviated by their impressive 2-0 win over Everton last weekend.

Gabriel Paulista is likely to keep his place in the squad ahead of Per Mertesacker after an impressive performance against the Toffees, while Francis Coquelin may feature with a protective mask on his nose. Aaron Ramsey is back into the squad and is available for selection after returning from a hamstring injury.

What managers say

Chris Ramsey: "I'm going to try to give them as much ammunition as possible. When they've had the success and got the history they've had, people get impatient, but I would say that the majority of fans would want him to stay. It's always the ones that complain the loudest that get the biggest headlines but I wouldn't say that would be the majority of Arsenal fans."

Arsene Wenger: "They fight not to go down. You expect the commitment and the fight from these teams. It's a difficult job. The most unenviable job is to fight not to go down down. It's a fight against fear."
