Where to watch live

The match starts at 2pm BST. Live coverage will be available on Sky Sports 3 and Sky Sports 3 HD. Real-time internet updates and the live streaming link are available on ATP's official website.

Overview

Rafael Nadal comes into this tournament looking to win just his second ATP World Tour title of the year after his win at Buenos Aires earlier in the season.

The former World No 1 has had a start-stop season blighted by injuries and is yet to hit top form this campaign. He has an enviable 51-3 record at Monte-Carlo winning eight successive titles from 2005-12. He lost to Novak Djokovic in the final of the 2013 edition and was beaten by his quarter final opponent David Ferrer at the same stage last year.

Nadal will be keen to step up a notch and regain his best clay court form as the French Open is not too far away, and despite his lack of form in recent months, he will go in as favourite to clinch his tenth Roland Garros crown.

Meanwhile, David Ferrer will come into this match knowing what to expect as the duo have met 28 times so far. The Spaniard beat his compatriot at the same stage of this tournament last year and will hope to emulate it again.
