Former World No 1 Rafael Nadal will take on Stanislas Wawrinka in the Men's quarter final clash of the 2015 Rome Masters on Friday.

Overview

Nadal sealed a place in the last eight of the ongoing competition after defeating American tennis star John Isner in straight sets 6-4, 6-4. He won the first match of the Rome Masters also comfortably in straight sets.

The 28-year-old Spaniard will be looking for a third straight set victory in order to seal a berth in the semi final on Saturday, if he manages to beat his quarter final opponent.

Meanwhile, Wawrinka progressed to the quarter final following his victory over Dominic Thiem. The first set was decided on a tie breaker, which went in the Swiss tennis ace's favour. He won the match 7-6, 6-4.

Nadal has won the Rome Masters on seven occasions and he will be looking to regain the title from the hands of defending champion Novak Djokovic this year.
