Real Madrid will continue their pursuit of La Liga leaders Barcelona by taking on Real Sociedad at Anoeta on 30 April.

Where to watch

Kick-off is set for 3pm BST. The game is not scheduled for live broadcast in the UK.

Overview

Real Sociedad guaranteed safety in La Liga by playing out a goalless draw at Villarreal on 24 April. The Basque club have lost four of their last five league encounters against Real Madrid.

Yuri Berchiche, Mikel Oyarzabal and David Zurutuza should all be available despite suffering knocks in the Villarreal match. Brazilian forward Jonathas (knee) could also return but Carlos Vela is suspended.

Real Madrid held Manchester City to a goalless draw in the Champions League semi-final first leg at the Etihad in midweek and are likely to rest some key players ahead of the return leg. The capital club can move to the summit of the La Liga table, at least temporarily, with a victory at Anoeta.

Cristiano Ronaldo (thigh) and Karim Benzema (hip) are recovering from injuries and are unlikely to be risked by Zinedine Zidane. Jese (leg) is also a doubt.

What managers say

Eusebio Sacristan: "We were really good, we competed and we have done well in a difficult pitch and against a good team like Villarreal. It was a good match, we took the ball and complicated things for a tough opponent such as Villarreal at their home. We must continue with this spirit; when we do things well we can score and compete against great teams."

Zinedine Zidane: "I am happy with the game [against Manchester City]. It was not easy but in the end, we defended really well. We had the ball more in the second half and we had more chances after the break. It was a tough game but I am happy with the result. Before this game, it was 50-50 and now it's the same. We have the second leg at home, but it's 50:50. We are going to have to work like we did today."
