Rebekah Vardy has revealed a horrifying incident that has left her scared for her two-year-old daughter. She has said that she has been too terrified to leave her home after Sofia became a target of online trolls.

Speaking on Channel 5 series, Celeb Trolls: We're Coming To Get You, the wife of Leicester City footballer Jamie Vardy said that she contacted the police as her daughter became the target of "disgusting" sexual comments after she shared a snap of her little girl in a football kit.

"(Sofia) was in Jamie's football kit and I put a picture of her on social media and someone responded... I don't think I've ever read anything as disgusting. I was distraught. We just got the police involved straight away," she said, according to the Daily Mail.

"I feel like I don't want to go out of the house, like I don't want to go anywhere that someone would recognise me, especially if I'm with my children."

However, the troll could not be prosecuted as his IP address is based in India.

The 35-yer-old, who has fallen victim to online trolls in the past, also said that offensive comments at her started after rumours of her husband leaving Leicester City circulated online.

"We had people trying to get over our wall, ringing our buzzer at all hours, standing outside shouting abuse," she said. "It usually tended to be early hours in the morning. The kids would be like 'what's going on?'"

Although she has been a target of online trolls, she is not letting the vile comments get to her. She recently took to Twitter to slam users for fat-shaming her after she shared a photo of her with her newborn son.

"For anyone that says I'm fat Just so you know, I couldn't care less..I'm having too much fun playing with my kids and enjoying my hols,' she wrote.

She added, "P.S........just for the record I'm a MASSIVE size 8/10 you drips #huge."
