Fans of the Red Band Society are still hoping that their favourite show returns for the rest of the episodes his year.

Fox networks have already cancelled the show but rumour mills are abuzz that the teen medical comedy drama may return to air the last three episodes as a New Year's gift to fans.

Episode 10, titled What I Did For Love, was the last one to be aired on Fox on 3 December, 2014.

"The secret is not kept for long and there will be fallout, [but] hopefully, it will surprise you," show producer Rina Mimoun said. "For a show where these kids are constantly dealing with life and death issues, the repercussions of infidelity aren't exactly what they might be in any another teen soap."

Mimoun spilled the beans about what will happen in the life of Kara and Leo if at all the show returns.

"The secret is not kept for long and there will be fallout, [but] hopefully, it will surprise you," Mimoun told Fashion and Style. "For a show where these kids are constantly dealing with life and death issues, the repercussions of infidelity aren't exactly what they might be in any another teen soap."

The executive producer also said there will be more of Dash, if the show airs the last three episodes.

"Not only because [Dash] is such a fan favourite, but because Astro brings such humour and honesty to the role," Mimoun explained.

"We are giving him more to play in these final three episodes [which] we're excited about."

However, the question of whether Red Band Society has been renewed or cancelled has disappointed fans.
