Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has dismissed reports linking Vedran Corluka with a move to the Championship and suggested speculation claiming Steven Pienaar is being targeted for a loan return to Everton this month are also wide of the mark.

The aforementioned Tottenham pair have struggled to break into Harry Redknapp's greatly lauded starting XI this season.

The emergence of Kyle Walker at Tottenham and his subsequent promotion to the England setup has inevitably hindered the Croatian international's efforts to re-establish himself at White Hart Lane. The defender has started just one league game and was recently linked with a loan move to promotion chasing West Ham United.

Despite the rumours regarding Corluka, Redknapp claimed there was absolutely "no chance" of the player moving down a division.

In regards to Steven Pienaar, who moved to Tottenham last January, Redknapp claims they have received no offers for 29-year-old South African international.

"I'm sure he wants to play," The Tottenham boss told the club's official website. "He had a virus, he wasn't well, otherwise he would have been on the bench.

"We haven't had any approaches for him, not at the moment."

Corluka and Pienaar's first team opportunities at Tottenham could improve dramatically over the next few weeks as Redknapp contends with increasing injury problems to his patently talented squad.

Scott Parker and Aaron Lennon are both sidelined and Tottenham are currently awaiting prognoses on the recent calf problems sustained by Sandro and William Gallas.
