Shares in Redrow were down on the FTSE 250 in afternoon trading after the housebuider reported a slender return to profit in year ended 30 June.

Revenue at the group was reported as rising from £301.8 million last year to £396.9 million. Pre-tax profit was £0.7 million, following a loss of £44.2 million, reported last year.

The group said that, as with last year, it would not be paying a dividend.

During the year Redrow managed to raise £150.3 million through a rights issue, selling over 148 million shares at 105 pence per share.
