Revenge Season 3 'Execution' Spoiler: Mind-Blowing Finale will Feature a Major Death, says Showrunner

The battle between Victoria Grayson and Emily Throne has heated up during the pre-finale of Revenge Season 3 while the 'death' of an important character in the finale will blow up the audience's mind, claims showrunner Sunil Nayar.

Emily has finally managed to put Conrad Grayson behind the bars for his dark role in the bomb explosion on Flight 197 and for framing her father David Clarke.

After taking down Papa Grayson in the last episode, Emily is all set for a face-to-face battle with Victoria but it is still unclear whether mama Grayson will discover Emily's true identity in the finale.

In an interview with TVGuide, Sunil Nayar teased fans about the death of a major character and Daniel's growing grey shades.

"Daniel, unlike so many other people, is a creation of the world around him and ultimately of Emily. What's fascinating is that when they see the power he has, they only have themselves to blame. He can't feel guilty that he is where he is because everybody is to blame for the person he's become and he's enjoying all the benefits that come from his mistakes," Nayar told the website.

The last episode 'Impetus,' revealed Charlotte and baby Carl's relation to Victoria, while Emily was left plotting her next fatal move to take down the Graysons once and for all.

"Victoria is getting close and Emily is really close to Victoria, so there's an element of cat-and-mouse that makes the show so exciting," Nayar said explaining the Emily-Victoria showdown featured in the upcoming finale.

"We really refocus on the fact that the Graysons are just bad people, wonderfully bad people, and we wanted to get back to the core of the show so that when we culminate at the end of the story, we not only pay off the second half of the season, but three seasons of the show for the audience."

Meanwhile Christianpost has reported that the finale of Revenge Season 5 will see 'handcuffs for one major character' while a shocking new plot is revealed.

The major death from the upcoming episode has been described as a 'horrifying' one when compared to Pascal's death-by-helicopter-blade, the website reported.

"I was standing next to her when she was sobbing over that passing" Nayar told the website about the death of a character who was very close to Emily.

"I promise it will be surprising and impactful and alter the journey of all the characters on the show. All of our characters end at points that are wonderful cliff-hangers, but the last two scenes specifically are scenes that will —and I know people say this every year, but I've never felt more comfortable in saying — absolutely blow our audience's minds both with the fact that these scenes are happening and what the implication of these scenes are."

Revenge Season 3 Finale will air on 11 May on ABC.
