Rick and Morty season 3 episode 2
A special episode of Rick and Morty season 3 aired on 1st April Adult Swim

After waiting for almost 18 months we finally have a premiere date on Rick And Morty Season 3. The 3rd season of the hit Adult Swim series will premiere on July 30 at 11:30 pm EST, co-creator Justin Roiland confirmed on 29 June during a live stream event.

Roiland spoke about his relationship with his co-creator, Dan Harmon during the stream, which began at 9 p.m. ET on Adult Swim's website, and addressed speculation about their working relationship have drawn concerns over the future of the series.

"When you ask us 'Where's season three?' and I say that they're drawing it, I literally mean that we took too long writing it and now they're drawing it," Harmon said, referring to the storyboard artists.

Roiland addressed the fact that many people thought that the live stream tonight would provide a new episode for fans to watch, after a surprise episode of the series was released on April Fool's Day earlier this year. The writer joked that those things only happen once in a while, and called it a "magical day."

The third season will have 10 episodes, Harmon said and teased the possibility of season 4. Harmon clarified after accidentally hinting they were working on the fourth season. "Not to say that there's a four. There's a PR person who is freaking out right now. Yeah let's get real honest. We have 10 episodes."

Co-creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland released the trailer during a live stream for the series, which teased a lot of adventures for Rick and his grandson ahead. The video opens with Rick turning into a pickle Rick as we are introduced to the duo going on many spaces adventured with an army of aliens chasing after them.

Looks like the council of Ricks will again make an appearance as fans will also get a look at bada*s Summer, who is seen shooting an alien, and Jerry on a rollercoaster ride with the scientist. Rick tells a terrified Morty, "Welcome to the darkest year of our adventures."
