Pop superstar Rihanna could soon be making her reality show debut on the X Factor if Simon Cowell has anything to do with it.
According to the Daily star, the music mogul is keen to get the Diamonds singer on the judging panel for this year's competition.
Cowell believes bagging somebody as big as Rihanna will really help ratings and bring an international flavour to the show.
"Simon and Cheryl have two months to find someone to sit in that chair and they want to get the right person," a source told the Daily Star.
"This year is an important one for X Factor. Simon can't be complacent and has to come back with a real A-Team.
"Rihanna would be a shock selection because she is not an obvious choice for a family show - but that's what he wants."
If RiRi does sit in the hot seat she will be critiquing wannabes alongside returning judges Cowell and Cheryl Cole.
Although LMFAO rapper Redfoo and Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie have also been linked to the X Factor gig, show bosses are staying tight-lipped.
"The only judges confirmed this year are Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole, the rest of the judging panel will be announced in due course," an ITV spokesperson said.
Earlier in March, it was reported that fellow Roc Nation starlet Rita Ora had turned down a £1million fee as a judge on the X Factor.
"Rita is bringing out a new album this summer – so that's her priority. She wants to focus purely on her music and not get distracted by other things," a source said.
