Rihanna will debut her collection for River Island during the London Fashion Week. The 24-year-old singer's first fashion collection will be available in Great Britain, the United States and Japan as early as 5 March.

"My first fashion show!!! My designs will walk the catwalks of London Fashion Week in days!! It's gonna be MAJAH!#RihannaForRiverIsland," she tweeted, adding, "Fashion gods will be in the building!!#FRONTROWLIFE #YouCantSitWithUs#RihannaForRiverIsland Can't wait for you to see it!!!"

"Launching at London Fashion Week is a dream come true for me. I have wanted to design my own collection for a long time and to present my collection for River Island alongside all of the other great design talent at LFW is a real privilege. I can't wait to see the reaction from my fans and the fashion press!" Rihanna said in a statement, when the collaboration was announced.

But the Diamonds singer again sparked controversy after posting a picture of a bouquet of marijuana on Valentine's Day.

"Roses are green! Somebody knows how to make me happy," she wrote on her Instagram account.

Rihanna also posted a picture stating: "Mary Jane Will Be My Valentine'' along with the message: "Love me... I'm #DOPE"

According to a report in the Mirror, her Twitter post has put her £800,000 contract with River Island in serious trouble and the high street franchise bosses are also upset about it.

"Part of the reason River Island signed her is because she's seen as a young, independent spirit," a source told the Mirror, "But this has given bosses a headache as they can't be seen to be endorsing her controversial views or let them damage the brand. They're concerned it sends out the wrong message so they want to rein her in - especially for the weekend when all eyes are on their partnership. This isn't the sort of publicity River Island wants."
