Overview

Roger Federer will look to continue his quest for a maiden Monte Carlo title as he takes on Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the quarter-final of the Monte Carlo Masters on 15 April (Friday).

Federer has looked in fine form at the ongoing Monte Carlo Masters, breezing past opponents Guillermo Garcia-Lopez and Roberto Bautista Agut in straight sets. It looked like the two months lost to injury have only made him more determined on the court.

The 18-time grand slam champion has won 73% of his first serve points and with world number one Novak Djokovic out, it looks like this could be Federer's best chance to win his first Monte Carlo title and complete the full ATP Masters 1000 set.

Like his opponent, Tsonga is yet to drop a set in the tournament and while he has looked good so far, he will have to lift his game to another level if he has to defeat Federer and progress to the semi-finals. If Tsonga is on form on Friday, he has the potential to beat anyone.
