Ronan Keating engaged to girlfriend Storm Uechtritz one month after divorce is finalised

Congratulations are in order for Boyzone singer Ronan Keating who has gotten engaged to his girlfriend Storm Uechtritz, less than a month after his divorce from Yvonne Keating was reportedly finalised.

The 38-year-old announced the engagement in the latest issue of Hello! magazine, explaining that he proposed twice to the TV exec while on a romantic holiday in Thailand.

He told the publication: "I proposed twice and she said yes both times, thank God. We've been together a few years now and knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. I felt it was the right time.

The Life Is A Rollercoaster singer first got down on one knee as they watched the sun rise over the ocean but he also popped the question for a second time in Ireland in front of his three children, Jack, 16, Missy, 14, and Ali, nine.

Explaining his decision to include the children in his huge gesture, Keating said: "Storm isn't just marrying me there are four of us involved. Storm has an amazing relationship with the kids, which is very important. Storm understood me and was there and it was everything to me."

The Irish star added: "We became real good friends, and the chemistry got greater and greater and over time one thing led to another. I've never known anything like it - she's my best friend."

Uechtritz, who hails from Australia, also gushed about her husband-to-be and even revealed that they could be starting their own little family soon.

"We've both found our soulmate and we know that we are going to spend the rest of our lives together. He's amazing; I love him. We've talked about having a baby and it is a possibility for us, yes," she explained.

The When You Say Nothing At All hitmaker chimed in: "I feel like I'm on the climb again, I'm feeling like it's a bit of a rebirth for me, like I'm having a renaissance and a lot of that is down to Storm. I'm in a great place and I'm ready to start living."

Keating was married to Yvonne, the mother of his three children, for 17 years but they split in 2011. According to Evoke.ie, their divorce was made official in 19 March and a source told the website: "It's a matter of public record now... They are both ready to move on with their lives."
