The Challengers come into this game after winning their opening fixture of this year's IPL comfortably on Thursday. Virat Kohli saw his men register an eight-wicket victory over the Delhi Daredevils as Yuvraj Singh was the star player for the Bangalore-based side.
The Daredevils managed 145 runs for the loss of four wickets from their 20 overs. In reply, Bangalore lost their opening batsman Nic Maddinson cheaply for four runs. However, his partner Parthiv Patel and skipper Virat Kohli gave a good start.
The wicket-keeping batsman was dismissed for 37. Yuvraj walked into the crease and took the game away from Delhi as his unbeaten half century guided RCB to their first win in the seventh edition of the tournament.
Meanwhile, Mumbai come into this fixture after suffering defeat at the hands of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the opening game of the this year's IPL. Gautam Gambhir's side posted a target of 164 runs to chase.
The defending champions were unable to reach the target as they fell short by 41 runs, resulting in their first loss of the IPL. Rohit Sharma would be looking to bounce back against the Bangalore side, while Kohli would be eyeing a second win to go on top of the table.
