He may not be Boris Johnson's biggest fan but for now Russell Brand is happy to take in London's sites on a Boris Bike.

The 38-year-old took advantage of the capital's warm temperatures this weekend by riding along Chelsea Bridge with pals using the bicycle-rental system brought in by the London mayor.

In a video posted online, the funnyman can be seen wearing his trademark skinny jeans and a black jacket as he long locks blows in the wind. He looks carefree and happy.

Back in November 2013, Brand, who is famously vocal about his political views, slammed Johnson's leadership skills saying: "I love him when he was on 'Have I Got News For You', so funny. I love his hair like a little baby bird. But don't let him run a f**king city, just because he's funny."

His outing on the bikecame hours after he made his debut on Match of the Day for Sports Relief.

During his appearance the Forgetting Sarah Marshall actor, who is a West Ham fan poked fun at Wayne Rooney while playing down his team's 2-0 defeat to Manchester United.

"I think David Beckham's goal is a very beautiful and iconic goal, and wasn't immediately preceded by some terrible elbow work," he said.

"I would have to say David Beckham's [goal was better]... Ultimately, this is a day where we have to focus on the injustices that preceded Rooney's goal."
