Samsung's recent addition to its Galaxy lineups, the Galaxy Alpha, which features a compact body with metal framing, is now available for purchase in the UK.

Prospective buyers can grab the smartphone from their favourite retailers in the country.

The SIM free and unlocked Galaxy Alpha is now in stocks at Clove, which is charging £499.99 for the handset. The Charcoal Black and Dazzling White models are currently in stock, whereas Sleek Silver and Frosted Gold models are expected on 2 and 6 October, respectively.

The SIM free Galaxy Alpha in both white and black colour variants can be purchased from Unlocked Mobiles, which is offering the handset with a similar price tag (£499.87) like Clove. Pre-ordering the handset, consumers will receive the delivery next day itself.

With a suggested retail price of £549.99 at Expansys, the Galaxy Alpha costs £50 more than both the aforementioned retailers.

As for contract deals, Samsung's new Galaxy device can be purchased from Phones4u on contracts with Vodafone, T-Mobile, EE and Orange. Most of the deals do not charge upfront. One such offer from Vodafone costs just £34.50 a month with 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB 4G data for a contract period of 24 months.

Carphone Warehouse is also selling the Galax Alpha on contract with EE, Orange, O2, Vodafone and T-Mobile, offering tariffs starting from just £33 per-month. Below are the links to UK retailers stocking Galaxy Alpha.
