The features of Samsung upcoming Galaxy Mega 5.8, which is one of two Galaxy Mega series smartphones with big display, have leaked ahead of its launch.

The Galaxy Mega, according to Sammobile, with model number GT-I9152 is said to be a high-end DUOS smartphone. The device is expected to feature a 5.8in qHD (quarter HD) TFT display with resolution at 960 x 540 pixels. It will measure 164 x 83.8 x 9.7mm in thickness.

The Galaxy Mega 5.8, like company's other popular handsets, will reportedly have an eight megapixel rear-camera and a two megapixel front-facing camera. It will use a dual-core processor with each cores clocked at 1.4GHz. The dual-core processor integrates 1.5GB of RAM.

In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy Mega 5.8in will offer Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and A-GPS. It will have a bigger battery of 2600mAh. The handset will be shipped with either Android 4.1.2 or Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean software and will have company's own Nature UX user interface (UI).

As for the release, the Galaxy Mega 5.8 was earlier rumoured to be available somewhere around week 22, which is either by May end or the beginning of June. Additionally, the handset was expected to come in white colour variant.

Apart from the 5.8in variant, Samsung's Galaxy Mega line-up consists of another smartphone featuring an even bigger display at 6.3in. The Galaxy Mega 6.3 with model number GT-I9200 was said to be available around week 25, which is sometime in the middle of June this year.
