In a new development that hints at the impending launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in the US, older Galaxy Note variants like the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge are available on discount in the country.

Prices of the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge, have been reduced by as much as $200 (£129) as part of a new initiative by AT&T. The Note 4 is available for purchase at $199.99, while the Note Edge has been priced at $99.99 on contract with the wireless carrier.

Buyers will have to subscribe to a two-year contract with AT&T to avail the offer.

As the latest offer suggests that the Galaxy Note 5 could be released in the near future, reports claim that Samsung's most expected high-ender would be released as early as August 2015.

Moreover, since there are speculations that Apple could release the next iPhone iteration termed iPhone 6s, in September 2015, Samsung may want to beat the Cupertino-based company and launch its device earlier.

Prospective buyers of the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge can head over to AT&T's e-store to avail the offer.
