One of the first images of what is set to be Samsung's smaller flagship smartphone for 2014 has leaked online, with the Galaxy S5 Mini displayed next to the company's Gear 2 and Gear Fit.

The image comes from US journalist Evan Blass (aka @evleaks) who posted a screenshot of the Galaxy S5 Mini from what looks like the official Samsung UK website.

The image shows the Galaxy S5 Mini in five different colours - white, grey, blue, brown and green. The phone is shown next to the company's latest wearable devices, the Gear 2 smartwatch and the Gear Fit fitness tracker.

Another clue that this is the real thing is the website's URL, which lists the code "SM-G800AZAKBLU", with the Galaxy S5 Mini said to have the internal code SM-G800.

The URL listed on the image is currently unavailable online.

4.47in Screen

Earlier this week an Indian website called Zauba, which says it is "home to India's import and export data" listed a smartphone under the code SM-G800F which is also believed to be the Galaxy S5 Mini.

The listing says the phone will have a 4.47in screen, which is slightly bigger than the screen on last year's Galaxy S4 Mini (4.3in) and makes the mini flagship device just half an inch smaller than the main Galaxy S5 smartphone.

Samsung has yet to officially announce the Galaxy S5 Mini but considering it announced the S4 Mini on 31 May last year, we probably don't have long to wait for an official announcement.

Other rumours suggests the Galaxy S5 Mini will be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 chip, will come with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. It will have an 8 megapixel camera as well as the water and dust-proof credentials of the full-size Galaxy S5.
