The technical specifications for the mini version of Samsung's fifth generation Galaxy S smartphone have been leaked online.

Following the launch of Galaxy S5, there have been rumours surrounding the mini version of the handsets, with no much details available about the features.

Now Sammobile has received exclusive information on Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini, according to which the device is expected to come with model number SM-G800.

It will sport a 4.5in Super AMOLED display with 720p resolution. The device will run Android 4.4 KitKat out of box as most of the devices releasing after March are coming with the latest software.

Besides these, the Galaxy S5 Mini is expected to use Snapdragon processor, which is most likely to be the Snapdragon 400 featuring a quad-core processor.

Among other key features are the eight megapixel rear-camera and a two megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone will pack 1.5GB RAM and offers 16GB internal storage. There will be a 2,100mAh battery inside the device.

When compared to the Galaxy S4 Mini, the current and the upcoming Mini variants share a few features in common including 1.5GB RAM and eight megapixel camera.

When it comes to display, the Galaxy S5 Mini with 720p resolution marks an improvement over the qHD resolution of the Galaxy 4 Mini, which comes with a 4.3in screen.

Like the flagship model, the S5 Mini is also expected to be water-resistant with IP rating of IP67. Currently, there is no much information about the pricing of the device.

The Galaxy S5 Mini has been previously rumoured to make its international debut sometime in June.
