As expected, Samsung has launched its eagerly anticipated Galaxy S series flagship smartphones, Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, the company's first smartphones with curved display on both sides.

Integrating Samsung cutting-edge core technology, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will be available globally starting 10 April in 32, 64 and 128GB storage options. The handsets will come in White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, Blue Topaz (Galaxy S6 only) and Green Emerald (S6 Edge only).

Samsung has not yet announced pricing details, but Sammobile has obtained the price tags for both the smartphones directly from Samsung officials.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 will be available at a suggested retail price of €699 for the 32GB variant, €799 for the 64GB model and €899 for the one with 128GB.

The Galaxy S6 Edge will cost €150 more than the standard Galaxy S6 variant which carries a price tag of €849 for the 32GB model. The 64GB and 128GB models of the S6 Edge will cost €949 and €1049 respectively.

Major retailers in the UK such as Carphone Warehouse, Clove and Expansys have confirmed they will be stocking the Galaxy S6 and its curved screen variants once they become available in the country.

Prospective buyers can pre-register for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge at Carphone Warehouse to get notified when the device will be available for order.

Carrier networks including Three and Vodafone UK have announced that they will be selling the new Galaxy S series smartphones.
