Samsung's recent flagship offerings, the Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge, which were officially unveiled at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress (MWC 2015) in Barcelona are now rumoured to get a successor.

According to a Forbes report, that quotes a Russian technology portal, the successor to Samsung's Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will not be Galaxy S6 Active as speculated, instead they are likely to be succeeded by the Galaxy S6 Duos.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Duos, as the name indicates, will most likely be a dual-SIM variant and Forbes states that the handset will offer two nano SIM card slots.

The smartphone is expected to be a premium device, which could have a higher price tag and the Russian website has priced the Galaxy S6 Duos at 52,990 rouble (£612, $910) indicating that it could be a flagship offering.

Images of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Duos have also surfaced online via a technology tipster on Twitter.

Moreover, the Russian portal states that the technical aspects of the upcoming device could be similar to that of the existing Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.
